Straws

So, in an effort to do my part to save the environment, I decided to start ridding my life of unnecessary consumption. The first frivolity I decided to cut out of my life was straws. I mean, I have a perfectly capable mouth, why did I need an assist from the cup to my throat? I have yet to reduce consumption of anything else in my life, but at least I did something...oh, yeah-the point of the story. Well, Mike came home the other night all excited to give me a "present". When he pulled the present from behind his back, he and I were cracking up. Look at the present he pilfered from a nearby Burgerville:

Not the best picture, but they are compostable straws made of corn. He was so proud, and for good reason. Now my straw consumption can be guilt-free. Good. Because wow, I was getting so tired of sacrificing things for the health and beauty of the Earth and others. I'll never try that again!

What a coincidence!!! I just started doing my part to save the environment by using eco-friendly dishwasher detergent. It's so empowering! Our great minds still think alike!
