Sad day.

It's a sad day when you realize you will never share the same musical taste with your husband. The impetus of this realization came after Mike and I went to the Raconteurs concert on Tuesday night. I was really excited going into the show (I even listened to their CD on repeat all that day), but I left feeling way out of my league. As Mike and his sister, Chrissy, discussed the sheer genius of Jack White and the his ability to produce creative music, or in their words "not the typical rifts," I realized that my brain does not even have the capacity to appreciate, let alone recognize what makes music "good." For this, I blame my parents for not making me stick with piano or anything musical. (It's so fun to blame your parents for all of your shortcomings-try it. It really alleviates any responsibility you would otherwise have to take.) I have decided the only way to solve our clash in musical taste is to never go to a concert together again. I'll just have to use the money we would spend on my ticket to either go shopping or to attend a concert I want to go to (like Carrie Underwood, Brad Paisley, Taylor Swift or a plethora of other country artists). Really, I think this was just a blessing in disguise. It's a good thing we figured this out before it was too late!

This is the Raconteurs on stage. Ps...the opening band, The Kills, was horrible. Seriously, I could not even look at the lead singer for fear she was going to steal my soul if we made eye contact. She was so cracked out it was freaky.

Here's the link to my new favorite song. Click on the picture to watch the video.

Ok Chris and I learned this while dating and I did consider this to be a deal breaker. However us not enjoying the same kind of music is a good thing our music selection "Rocks". However no country in our collection-sorry Amber

Amber, Mike and chris are alittle snobby about "their" music. Maybe you, your Mom and I can can go to a concert. Cathy
