I hope your 4th of July was filled with all things Amurican.
Ours absolutely was.
We had a lovely pancake breakfast thanks to the Lions Club.

We watched the Lake Oswego 4th of July Parade.

We also enjoyed many Amurican festivities at the St. Paul Rodeo.

The rodeo included this very Amurican scene--kids in camoflouge with guns.
Yikes! Call me a flaming liberal, but I just don't get it.

Our fabulous 2 year-old lasted almost 2 hours at the rodeo. We rewarded her with a full carnival experience. She was so excited to ride the carousel.

...Until it started moving. She was soon in my arms, petting the horse from a safe distance.

We then treated ourselves to sugar, dye and ice, a.k.a a snowcone.
And finally we ended our day with a BBQ and a few fireworks.
Again, the idea of fireworks excited her, but we soon realized she wasn't a fan of anything but snap-its.

She was content to lick her ice cream bowl clean.

Could anything be more American?
Maybe apple pie with ice cream.
