Ever since I was a little girl I have dreamed of owning my own shop. What kind of shop? I had no idea. I had no "visible" talents (so a college roommate once told me), no creative skills.
Needless to say, I never dreamed this dream would ever come true.
So I thought.

Tom has been making pies since he was a little boy in his grandma's kitchen. Now I won't give away his age, but that's a pretty long time! He makes them and makes them and makes them. And then gives them away to anyone who needs a little love by way of flaky, sugary goodness. I have been the recipient of this love on many occasions. In fact, this love is now forcing me to run a half-marathon to work it off. His pies are seriously divine. To die for. To live for. Whatever term you use. Scrumtrulescent. As Tom as my muse, I have taken on the family torch and tried my hand at a pie or two. Well, a few more than two. Actually, I have been a pie-baking fool lately. I've toiled to make the perfect crust that doesn't fall apart before it hits the pan.
(Still working on that...a few casualties to report.) And I can now add pumpkin praline, apple and pecan to my repertoire. I think I've found my dream! I am going to need everyone's support in my journey. By "support," I mean appetite. And refined palette. It may take all my life to realize my dream (I'm hoping less than 5 years). But it will be worth it. Even if I am morbidly obese by the end of this. I am becoming the Woman of my dreams! You should read this talk by President Hinckley--you'll be fired up too.
As for now...I need to know-what's your favorite kind of pie?
And when are you available for a pie delivery?
*I'm off to the kitchen to try my hand at the chocolate cream variety.*

I gladly offer my support! :)
Key lime and chocolate are favorites... As for delivery, you tell me when, I'll be there.
Key Lime is one of my all time favorites. Cherry (with the real sour pie cherries), sweet potato, apple, and lemon pie top my list. I could go on forever, because I love pie. Strawberry, pumpkin, pecan, chocolate cream...
Wow, I am impressed Amber. I like how the heart turned out. When you make the award winning none breaking crust let me know. Our favorite is Strawberry Rhubarb.
I'm not the college roommate that insulted your talents. I love all pie!
Dude I know we only have had a couple samples of your wonderfulness, but I think you are SUPER talented and that you should pursue your dream! And we Mallard's are available for testing anytime, anywhere (seriously!)
Sounds yummy! Apple is my favorite, but I'm happy to be a taste tester for any of your pies.
Umm, the pecan was divine! We are willing to be your taste-testers ANYTIME! I love love love marionberry by the way. :)
