On Friday night Mike and I tapped into the art connoisseur within us. We went with a group of our friends to the Thirty One art show/sale. Thirty one artists had 31 days to make 31 paintings and then they were all sold Friday night for 31 dollars. People started lining up about an hour before the show to fight for their favorite paintings. At seven o'clock the doors opened and we were let into a very hot little room filled with paintings from floor to ceiling. The combination of the crazy heat and crazy mass of people made for a frantic experience. Mike proved very handy as he shoved his way through the crowd and reached for the paintings that I couldn't reach (he also helped a few old ladies with their paintings too!) After running around like madmen for 15 minutes we got the paintings we wanted and headed to Russel Street Barbecue to quell the appetites we had worked up. We had so much fun overeating (Mike did order the Meatapalooza!) and talking with our friends. Overall, it was a fabulous night with good food, friends and art.

Terrific stuff! You two are so cosmopolitan spiffy! See, I do too read your blog, so THERE!
Hey, Tom just finished your wedding video (no more 2 AM nights!), so now we need to schedule a screening. We'll be in Portland on 24 August. Let us know when and where is good. Email me. Or calling is good too.
