Easter

We had an idyllic Easter. It was sunny and warm and lovely. Seriously, it had me thanking Heavenly Father again and again for a perfect life. The Pants and I spoke in church so I was able to reflect on The Savior all week. Now that's how I'd like to spend every week leading up to Easter--well, without the stress of preparing a talk.

We planted a jelly bean garden and watered it on Saturday night. We've had a lot of conversations about things growing lately so when a friend told me this idea I thought it was perfect. Nanners was so excited that when she woke up Sunday morning her first words were, "Oh, growing so tall!" We made her wait for the sun to come out to help them grow (after her nap) before she could harvest the lollipops the jellybean seeds had brought. She was mostly confused, but it gradually started to sink in after we explained it a few times.

Mr. Easter Bunny set up a perfectly age-appropriate egg hunt too.

Nanners looks pretty content with her spoils.
It captures the mood of the day: contentment.
