Sassy Pants McGee

Nanners has been wearing her sassy pants exclusively as of late.
She is very adept at expressing herself and letting us know exactly what she wants (and doesn't want).
She is talking up a storm and has mastered some fun words.
She loves saying "Hi" to anyone she meets. It usually comes after a 20-second delay of seeing someone.

Before she starts to play with her toys each morning (or after naps) she must first put on her bead necklace. It has become her playtime ritual.
Once this is done she then proceeds to play in her little corner while she screams and babbles to herself.

A brief list of her vernacular:
- ssss ("please" said on demand by mom or dad)
- down
- All done
- mo' (more)
- moo
- bottle
- eessse (cheese)
- Mama
- Dada
- Nana
- Tongue click (refers to Gma Goodwin because she taught her that)
- Papa
-Elba (Elbow)
-Da (Dog)
-Wa oh Wa (the sound a baby makes)
-Wa (water)

The other day while I was shopping at Winco (which I've previously mentioned my dislike for) Nanners was fed up of being in the cart. Unfortunately for her she can't just crawl around the store so she was stuck there. She decided to let me know she was unhappy by screaming in her loudest, shrillest voice at 1 minute intervals. I was so embarrassed but I had to press on. Soon I started to hear other kids screaming throughout the store, almost mimicking Nanners. Then I heard a couple of moms say "stop that" in their firmest tone. I definitely had a humbling moment then and there in Winco when I realized I had that kid. The one I always assumed was a product of inattentive parenting. Consider me a changed woman and Nanners a screamer.

She has also gotten very good at mimicking the way I say "NO" to her. She crawls around the house to the various things she knows she's not supposed to get into. She then says "Na" in a way that sounds like she's mocking me and then she proceeds to touch or get into whatever it is (ie; the toilet, the stairs). I may be projecting the mocking but it sure sounds like that's what is going through her little head!

This is the face she's been making recently when doing a task just
seems too hard for her too manage (or it takes any effort at all).
It is also made when she thinks the situation is sad.
It is eerily similar to a face I make when I'm frustrated (although a bit exaggerated).

We'll keep her though, Sassy Pants and all. It keeps me on my toes.
