Fill Your Mouth With Sunshine

Last Saturday we competed in the Wilamette Week's First Annual Cartathlon.

The Challenge:

Navigate Portland's deliciously eccentric food cart pods. Complete various bonus tasks along the way. Shove food in face as fast as your piehole can devour it. Repeat until running becomes waddling and eating a fried chocolate pie triggers gag reflex. And do it all knowing that a year's worth of free foodcart meals is at stake.
The above picture was one of four challenge sheets we received.
Meet Team Slobberchops:

Prepared like a Boyscout Chops

Sloppy Chops

Bam Chops

The Pants Chops

Team Slobberchops came in 9th out of 51 teams!
Not too shabby!

I can't say for sure if it was fun or not. It was such a blur. And did I mention I really wanted to win? I did. I feel like my brain is trying to tell me that it was fun like it tells me Hood to Coast is fun every year. Fun or not, I'm starting my marathon/eating contest training now so I'll be ready come next February.

*The guys in the banana suits managed to come in ahead of us
and pound a bottle of whiskey each. Impressive. Not in a good way.

Well I have to admit it sounds like a lot of fun. Sounds being the operative word here.
