Happy Mother's Day!
I was practically dead to the world on Mother's Day,
so please allow me to let my Mom know how much I love and appreciate her-even if it is two weeks late.
I was just reading Elder Holland's conference talk Mothers and Daughters and I was reminded again of how truly grateful I am for a good mother.
He says,
"Look to your mother. Learn from her strengths, her courage and her faithfulness. Listen to her. She may not be a whiz at texting; she may not even have a Facebook page. But when it comes to matters of the heart and the things of the Lord, she has a wealth of knowledge. As you approach the time for marriage and young motherhood, she will be your greatest source of wisdom."
My Mom actually is a whiz at texting and does have a Facebook page. She has also been my greatest source of wisdom as I try to figure out how to best approach this whole motherhood thing. For me it's not innate--thus she has been invaluable!
I am just so glad she's my Mom (and Eliza's Grandma)!
