Gluttony

The Pants and I visited lovely Ouray, Colorado last week for our friends' wedding.
Ouray is called little Switzerland. "Little" is definitely not a misnomer.
It has one street of shops/food/liquor stores-about 6 blocks long.
It also has a famed ice park and more hot springs than you can count.
And it was absolutely beautiful!
Our 4 days passed like this:
(with minor variations each day, ie; add a nap, walk or dessert between activities)

*Wake up at 9 (after waking up 6 times to pee or flip like a rotisserie chicken)
*Get a bagel from Backstreet Bagels
*Walk 3 blocks home and watch the deer
*Mid-morning nap or movie viewing
*Eat lunch at Backstreet Bagels (while enjoying Ouray's open mic show--2 men singing about depression and Heidi Montague's plastic surgery. I think their commentary on such "edgy" subjects was an attempt to convey that even in Ouray they know what's going on)
*Hike to the ice park and watch the ice climbers do their thing
A group called "Gimps on Ice" was in town to do training climbs-they were all amputees
*Wedding Activity
*Dinner at one of the 3 other dining establishments in town
*Hotsprings Time Machine--no not really...just hotsprings
*Watch a movie from the free hotel PG-13 selection
Yes...I napped for an hour of Benjamin Button and didn't miss a dang thing
*Bedtime

Downtown Ouray--but picture it covered in snow.

The Pants and I had a lot of fun just spending time together. It was great to get in a trip like this before the little babe arrives. We are well aware that the next one may be long in coming.

After our babymoon in Colorado, The Pants and I parted ways--he went back to Portland and I stopped off in Utah to visit my sister. We shopped, ate at Cafe Rio and In-n-Out, entertained 3 small children and golfed. The belly proved to be less of an obstacle for the golf club than I thought it would be. I wish I would have gotten a picture of that though.

Now back to...well, another vacation. I'm done with work and trying to figure out what to do with myself for the next 6 weeks. I'm trying to enjoy it and not be plagued with the guilt that often accompanies gluttony.

So, did you fly to Colorado in your pregnant condition?
