Travelogue: Seattle, our sister city to the North

We spent Memorial weekend in Seattle.
It was a total blast!
With Matt and Elle as tour guide Ken and Barbie, we hit everything we could in 24 hours.
We had great sushi (I ate a fried shrimp head, feelers in tact),
Took a jaunt through the folk festival, or as Matt dubbed it "a chance for men to walk around shirtless",
Ate way too many cupcakes at Cupcake Royale,
Saw all of Seattle lit up at night,
ate Ebel Skiver's for breakfast
Toured Pike's Market,
hit as many great vintage/hipster stores as we could stomach,
and enjoyed the absolutely perfect 75 degree, sunny weather.
I don't think it's possible to not love Seattle.
Our weekend left me asking, "Why don't we come here more often?"

Matt and Elle were gracious hosts.
We even had fiji water left next to our bed.
And they didn't even charge us $5 per bottle.

Pike's Market. Oh I wish we had something like this in Portland!

Mike doesn't like the idea of buying/wearing/eating off of people's used stuff--
sometimes I question if he's really an Oregonian.
He waited patiently as I shopped all day long.

Happy in Seattle.

You guys are so cute. We should do a Seattle trip together. I have only been once. How lame is that? Now you know all the good places to go and you can take me with you. Corey and Mike can go do something more exciting, as Corey does not like pre-used stuff either.

We took the kids to Seattle last Summer and the best thing about the trip to the kids was the hotel. It had an indoor pool, go figure. We saw and did a ton and we could have stayed at a KOA and loved the trip. Lex and B loved shopping at Pikes Market too.
